How it Works

Traditionally utility based frameworks required large CSS files as a class had to be predefined for every possible combination. However Foxtail works differently. When the page is loaded it is scanned for Tailwind utility classes. The required style rules are then dynamically generated and inserted into the page. This system allows us to support every single Tailwind utility with just a few Kb of Javascript.

DOM Changes

After the page has loaded Foxtail continues to monitor the DOM for any new classes that are added. If any changes are detected then the required classes are generated and inserted into the page.

Performance

Foxtail is blazingly fast. The Foxtail class compiler can generate 1000's of classes in just a few milliseconds. This very website scores 100% on the Lighthouse web performance benchmark - you can't get any faster than that.
